The English Tearoom – ETR to those in the know – has in recent decades been a vehicle for the Paulig family’s investments. Since 2011, it has been an independent investment company, but still owned by the family. Our investment approach prioritises not only long-term value creation but also entrepreneurial spirit, social responsibility and sustainability.

Gustav Paulig Ltd opened its flagship café, The English Tea-Room, on Unioninkatu in Helsinki back in 1934. For decades it was one of the most elegant meeting places in town.
